Job summary

B L Kashyap and Sons (BLK) in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Electrical Site Engineer to manage on-site electrical systems, safety, and coordination with mechanical teams. You will prepare SLDs, compute loads, oversee earthing and protection schemes, perform RCCB/ELCB tests, supervise foremen and fitters, and maintain records and daily/weekly/monthly reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Single Line Diagram (SLD) for the site electrical system
• Carry out total connected load and demand load calculations to finalize power source capacity
• Ensure proper earthing, lightning protection, and power distribution systems
• Ensure proper earthing systems, including periodic testing and record maintenance
• Conduct RCCB / ELCB testing at regular intervals and maintain test records
• Verify safety devices such as switches, overload protection, emergency stops etc
• Attend electrical breakdowns and ensure minimum downtime
• Supervise electrical foremen, electricians, and helpers
• Coordinate with mechanical and P&M teams
• Maintain machinery records, logbooks
• Record/Inventory for Plant & Machinery available at site
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly P&M reports
• Train supervisors and operators on best practices and safety awareness
