Job summary

Chemplast Sanmar is seeking a capable Electrical Maintenance lead for our plant in Tamil Nadu. The role covers overall maintenance of the electrical department, preventive maintenance planning, and ensuring safety and compliance across EHS systems.

You will manage a team, handle statutory requirements, drive continuous improvement through quality initiatives, and oversee budgeting for R&M expenses.

Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance Planning & Scheduling.
• Trouble shooting
• Handling a team
• Ensuring the EHS and environment management system documentation and KPIs pertained to the dept through periodical review.
• Handling electrical statutory requirements
• Implementing Electrical safety management system (LOTOTO, hand tool safety, earthing & bonding, HD yard maintenance)
• Hazardous area classification
• To plan and execute the maintenance schedule for upkeep of equipment.
• To maintain control on energy consumption.
• To attend equipment breakdowns and trouble shoot repeated failures.
• To comply all the statutory requirements related to Electrical function and to ensure the electrical safety in the Plant.
• To provide necessary resource for carrying out repairs and maintenance of the equipment including CAPEX.
• Resource planning and preparation of R&M expenses for the budget and monitoring the expenses and analyzing the R&M expenses and reporting.
• To provide training to all the team members and co-ordinate training programs with HR department
• To analyze the performance of the equipment and to study the equipment reliability every month.
• To lead the team in implementing Quality System initiatives such as 5S & Kaizen.
• To fulfill the QMS / EMS / OHSAS / GMP requirements.
