Job summary

Search Advisers Services Guj is seeking an experienced electrical design engineer in Bengaluru to design and document electrical panels (PCC, MCC, APFC, PLC, VFD) and prepare SLDs, GA drawings, and control schematics.

You will select components, perform sizing and calculations, ensure IEC/IS compliance, and prepare submittals while coordinating with production and QA teams. Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, and ETAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical panels including PCC, MCC, APFC, PLC, and VFD panels.
• Prepare engineering documents such as SLDs, GA drawings, control schematics, power wiring diagrams, cable schedules, BOMs, and terminal plans.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers and resolve design-related queries.
• Select electrical components including circuit breakers, contactors, busbars, CTs/PTs, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, transformers, protection relays, enclosures, and accessories.
• Perform busbar sizing, cable sizing, short-circuit, and thermal calculations.
• Ensure compliance with IEC 61439, IEC 60204-1, IEC 60947, IEC 60529, CEA Regulations, and relevant IS standards.
• Prepare technical submittals, design calculations, and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, project, and quality teams during project execution.
• Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), customer inspections, design reviews, and value engineering activities.
• Use engineering software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, MS Excel, and ETAP (preferred) for design and documentation.
