Job summary

Essar Minmet is seeking a Senior Management / Project Leadership professional to lead electrical, instrumentation, automation, and control systems for ISP projects in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai. 15–25 years of experience in steel, metals, heavy engineering, or EPC roles is required to drive multi-disciplinary teams and manage complex automation initiatives.

The role emphasizes EPC contractor and supplier coordination, plant ramp-up, HSE compliance, and successful handover from project to operations

Qualifications

• 15–25 years of total professional experience in steel, metals, heavy engineering, EPC or large industrial projects.
• Experience in greenfield/brownfield projects preferred.
• Experience managing large multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with EPC contractors.
• Strong EPC contractor and technology supplier management experience.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work from Mumbai/Navi Mumbai.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and automation engineering for ISP projects.
• Review power distribution architecture.
• Manage PLC, DCS, SCADA, Level-1 and Level-2 automation.
• Coordinate drives, motors and VFD systems.
• Review control philosophies and instrumentation.
• Coordinate automation interfaces between plant units.
• Lead FAT, SAT and software testing.
• Manage automation commissioning.
• Coordinate OEMs, system integrators and EPC contractors.
• Ensure automation system redundancy and reliability.
• Support commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Ensure smooth project-to-operations handover.
