Job summary

Core Energy Systems Ltd. seeks an experienced Assistant General Manager, Central Project Cell, to lead end-to-end project execution for heavy industrial EPC projects across India.

You will oversee engineering, execution, coordination and commissioning to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards. The role requires close collaboration with clients, consultants, OEMs, vendors and cross-functional teams, focusing on Steel Plants, Sinter Plants, Coke Oven Plants

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or related engineering discipline.
• 15 to 20 years of EPC/heavy industrial project execution experience.
• Exposure to Steel Plants, Sinter Plants, Coke Oven Plants, Power Plants or similar projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall project execution and site management across India.
• Monitor progress against schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and Commercial teams.
• Ensure erection, installation, testing and commissioning activities are completed on time.
• Serve as primary client-facing representative for project execution.
• Identify delays and bottlenecks; implement corrective actions.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment and resource utilization.
• Drive closure of punch points and client observations.
• Oversee final handover, documentation and inspections.

About the Role

CORE Energy Systems Ltd. is looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager Central Project Cell to lead end-to-end project execution for heavy industrial projects across India. The role requires expertise in project engineering, execution, coordination, and commissioning while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

This position will work closely with clients, consultants, OEMs, vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams, with a strong focus on Steel Plants, Sinter Plants, Coke Oven Plants, and other heavy industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall project execution and site management across India.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and Commercial teams.
• Ensure timely completion of erection, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Serve as the primary client-facing representative for project execution matters.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, OEMs, vendors, and contractors for smooth execution.
• Identify execution delays, bottlenecks, and critical issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor manpower, material availability, equipment deployment, and resource utilization.
• Resolve technical and execution-related issues with engineering teams and OEMs.
• Lead testing, commissioning, trial runs, and performance guarantee activities.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Conduct client review meetings, site progress meetings, and project coordination reviews.
• Drive closure of punch points, pending works, and client observations.
• Oversee project completion, documentation, final inspections, and successful handover.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related Engineering discipline.
• 15 to 20 years of experience in EPC or heavy industrial project execution.
• Strong exposure to Steel Plants, Sinter Plants, Coke Oven Plants, Power Plants, or similar industrial projects.
• Proven experience in erection, commissioning, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client-handling skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across project sites in India.
