Job summary

IIT Madras in Chennai seeks an Education Program Manager to plan and schedule courses, coordinate with faculty and industry experts, and ensure timely execution of all program activities across multiple cohorts.

You will act as SPOC for assigned programs, manage communications with students, partners, and vendors, maintain participant databases, generate reports, and support content updates on the website and partner portals.

Qualifications

  • 4-Year UG/Any Non-Engineering PG with 2 years of experience, and Any Non-Engineering UG with 5 years of experience in any discipline from a recognized university. A degree in Management, Education, or a related field will be an added advantage.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in education program management, training coordination, project management, or academic administration. Prior experience in higher education, EdTech, executive education, or corporate learning environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate course schedules, content delivery, assessments, examinations, and project timelines across multiple cohorts.
  • Coordinate with faculty members, teaching assistants, industry experts, and other stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
  • Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for assigned education programs.
  • Ensure the smooth execution of all program activities.
  • Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders, including students, faculty, industry partners, and vendors.
  • Monitor participant engagement and address operational issues promptly.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze course and program feedback.
  • Present key insights to the Program Directors and recommend improvements wherever applicable.
  • Maintain participant databases, including admission records, attendance, assessments, and academic performance.
  • Track participant progress throughout the program.
  • Prepare cohort-wise performance reports for faculty and management.
  • Maintain program-wise revenue and expense records.
  • Generate periodic reports and dashboards for decision-making.
  • Maintain and update content on the WSAI website and partner websites.
  • Review and validate marketing, promotional, and digital media content before publication.
  • Coordinate with marketing and communication teams for timely content updates.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with faculty, participants, corporate clients, academic partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Identify and research prospective corporate training opportunities and institutional partnerships.
  • Support the planning and execution of customized corporate education programs.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, participant experience, and program quality.
  • Recommend process improvements and implement best practices across programs.

Role & responsibilities
  • 1. Communication: A professional in this role must be able to clearly and concisely deliver information (verbal & written) to a variety of audiences.
  • 2. Collaboration: A candidate who is self-motivated and proactive, who also possesses strong interpersonal skills would be a good fit. He/she should also be able to work effectively in a team.
  • 3. Decision making: The education program executive should have the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. An ideal candidate would be an analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills. He/she works independently and make sound decisions.
  • 4. Critical thinking: An individual in this position must be able to assess and analyze current programs and know when and how to recommend changes as necessary. Being highly organized is one of the important traits for an efficient education program manager.
  • 5. Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, Power Point, Google sheets and virtual conferencing (VC) platforms is mandatory.
  • 6. Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) will be an added advantage
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Preferred candidate profile

  • The position is based in Chennai. Applicants should reside in Chennai or be willing to relocate.
Salary:
