Job summary

Gruner Renewable Energy is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer in India to support process plants with hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems.

The ideal candidate will handle PLC troubleshooting, field instruments, and drive systems (VFDs/soft starters), collaborating with operations to ensure reliable plant performance and continuous improvement across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• 6–7 years of hands-on instrumentation and control experience in process plants.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.
• Experience with field instruments: pressure, flow, temperature, level transmitters, and actuators.
• Familiarity with Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, PROFINET, PROFIBUS.
• Experience with VFDs and soft starters.

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer with 6-7 years of hands‑on experience in industrial process plants to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting capabilities, technical expertise in control systems, and a collaborative approach to supporting plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems in process plant environments
• Diagnose and resolve PLC-related issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal system performance
• Provide technical support for commissioning activities and ongoing plant operations
• Collaborate with operations teams to understand process requirements and implement effective solutions
• Troubleshoot and maintain variable frequency drives (VFDs) and soft starters
• Ensure proper functioning of field instrumentation including pressure, flow, temperature, level transmitters, and on‑off actuators
• Support integration and troubleshooting of various communication protocols within the plant network
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability and efficiency

Technical Skills:

• Strong troubleshooting capabilities for instrumentation and control systems in process plants
• Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Comprehensive knowledge of field instruments: pressure transmitters, flow meters, temperature sensors, level transmitters, and on‑off actuators
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols including Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, PROFINET, and PROFIBUS
• Experience with drives systems including VFDs and soft starters
