Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation to oversee the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical and instrumentation systems at our plant. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and hands‑on experience in industrial electrical and instrumentation systems.
Electrical Systems
- Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of electrical equipment, including LT/HT panels, transformers, DG sets, motors, MCCs, PCCs, and VFDs.
- Monitor electrical system performance and implement preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure minimum downtime.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for electrical maintenance and project activities.
Instrumentation Systems
- Maintain and calibrate field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
- Monitor and maintain PLC, SCADA, HMI, and control systems.
- Diagnose and rectify instrumentation and control system issues.
- Ensure proper documentation of calibration records, maintenance logs, and system modifications.
Team Management & Reporting
- Supervise technicians and maintenance staff for daily operational activities.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
- Support plant audits and compliance inspections.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to company safety policies and industry standards.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
- Promote a culture of safety, discipline, and continuous improvement.
Desired Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems and industrial instrumentation.
- Experience with PLC, SCADA, VFDs, MCCs, and automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and control logic diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Good communication, leadership, and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance reporting.
