Job summary

Alternate Foods is seeking an Accounts cum Operations Executive in New Delhi. This role blends invoicing in Zoho Books with logistics duties to ensure shipments leave the warehouse and reach customers.

You will book daily shipments, track RTOs, plan local routes, and manage COD tallies while maintaining invoices, e‑way bills and vendor bills. Strong Excel/Sheets and GST knowledge are valued, with Hindi and English communication required.

Qualifications

• Experience in E commerce with Shopify platform.
• Experience in logistics using Shiprocket/Delhivery.
• Knowledge of basic accounting on Tally or Zoho Books.
• Basic GST, e-way bills and invoicing understanding.
• Exposure to courier panels, D2C shipping or warehouse operations.
• Proficient with Excel or Google Sheets.
• Good spoken Hindi and workable English.
• Organised and proactive in chasing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Book daily shipments with courier partners and hand over the day's dispatch.
• Track RTOs, reinventory stock and follow up on RTO claims.
• Plan local delivery routes and tally COD collected.
• Handle NDR list daily and escalate delays with couriers.
• Keep the ops team updated on stuck shipments and delays.
• Raise and maintain sales invoices, purchase entries and credit notes in Zoho Books.
• Generate e-way bills and e-invoices (max 2-3 per day).
• Record expenses, petty cash and vendor bills.
• Send monthly invoices and documents to accountants.

Accounts cum Operations Executive

Company: Alternate Foods (Big Bear Farms) Location: Okhla Phase 2, New Delhi. Work from office. Salary: 20,000 to 30,000 per month, depending on experience Type: Full time Experience: 1 to 3 years

About the role

We are a premium Himalayan artisan food brand. Our products sell through our own website, Amazon and retail, and our warehouse and dispatch run out of Okhla Phase 2.

This role sits between accounts and operations. Half your day is keeping invoicing and books clean on Zoho, and the other half is making sure shipments actually leave the warehouse and reach the customer.

Operations and logistics

• Book daily shipments with our courier partners and hand over the day's dispatch
• Track RTOs, take the stock back into inventory and follow up on RTO claims with the couriers
• Plan the local delivery rider's route for the day, brief him on the drops, and tally the COD collected at the end of his run
• Work the NDR list every day. Call the courier partner, get the reattempt booked, and stay on the courier partner until the shipment is delivered
• Keep the ops team updated on stuck shipments, delays and anything that needs escalation

Accounts and compliance

• Raise and maintain sales invoices, purchase entries and credit notes in Zoho Books for B2B clients
• Generate e-way bills and e-invoices wherever applicable max 2-3 per day
• Record and track expenses, petty cash and vendor bills
• Send the accountants their monthly set of invoices and documents on time

What we are looking for

• Experience in E Commerce - SHOPIFY
• Experience in Logistics - SHIPROCKET/ DELHIVERY ETC
• Experience or knowledge of basic accounting on Tally or Zoho Books
• Basic understanding of GST, e-way bills and invoicing
• Exposure to courier panels, D2C shipping or warehouse operations is a big plus
• Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets
• Good spoken Hindi and workable English, since you will be speaking to customers and courier staff every day
• Someone organised who chases things without being reminded
• B.Com or equivalent preferred
