Job summary

JewelsHire, Mumbai-based jewellery manufacturer, is seeking an experienced diamond procurement specialist to source certified diamonds in line with quality, size, shape and budget requirements.

You will manage supplier relationships, evaluate diamonds using the 4Cs, verify certificates, negotiate terms, monitor market trends, coordinate with sales and inventory, and ensure timely procurement to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in diamond buying, sourcing or procurement.
• GIA Certification Course completed or in progress.
• Strong knowledge of certified diamonds and grading parameters, including the 4Cs.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure certified diamonds meeting quality, size, shape and budget requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with diamond suppliers, manufacturers and dealers.
• Evaluate diamonds based on the 4Cs–Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat, along with certificates and overall value.
• Review and verify diamond certificates from grading laboratories.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and procurement conditions with suppliers.
• Monitor daily diamond market prices, availability and trends.
• Coordinate with internal sales, merchandising and inventory teams to understand buying needs.
• Inspect and assess diamonds before purchase to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain supplier databases and diamond procurement records.

Requirements

• Good understanding of GIA andother reputed diamond certification reports.

• Existing contacts within thediamond trading/manufacturing ecosystem will be an advantage.
