A Dialysis Technician is responsible for preparing and operating dialysis machines, maintaining dialysis equipment, supporting patients during dialysis procedures, and ensuring the safety and proper functioning of the dialysis unit under the supervision of qualified medical professionals.

• Prepare dialysis machines and equipment before each treatment.
• Perform machine setup, disinfection, and functional checks.
• Prepare dialysis solutions and consumables according to established protocols.
• Assist in connecting and disconnecting patients from dialysis equipment as permitted by scope of practice.
• Monitor dialysis machine parameters and patient vital signs during treatment.
• Identify and promptly report alarms, complications, and abnormal patient conditions.
• Assist medical and nursing teams during dialysis-related emergencies.
• Maintain dialysis equipment, water-treatment systems, and consumable supplies.
• Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of dialysis machines and treatment areas.
• Maintain accurate dialysis records and treatment documentation.
• Follow strict infection-control and aseptic procedures.
• Ensure appropriate handling and disposal of biomedical waste.
• Monitor inventory of dialysis consumables and report shortages.
