A Clinical Dietitian is responsible for assessing patients nutritional needs and developing individualized diet plans based on medical conditions, treatment requirements, and nutritional goals.

• Assess patients nutritional status and dietary requirements.
• Develop individualized therapeutic and balanced diet plans.
• Provide dietary counselling to patients and their families.
• Plan diets for conditions such as diabetes, kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, obesity, gastrointestinal disorders, and other medical conditions.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding nutritional care.
• Monitor patients nutritional progress and modify diet plans when required.
• Plan appropriate diets for ICU, post-operative, pediatric, and other specialized patients as applicable.
• Educate patients regarding healthy eating, lifestyle modification, and disease-specific nutrition.
• Coordinate with kitchen and food-service teams to ensure correct preparation of prescribed diets.
• Monitor food quality, hygiene, and special dietary requirements.
• Maintain nutritional assessment records and diet charts.
• Participate in clinical audits, patient education programs, and quality improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, food-safety requirements, and professional nutrition guidelines.
