Job summary

Atharva Poly-plast Limited is seeking a Development Engineer with hands-on experience in plastic component development and injection moulding. You will work with plastic parts, 2D drawings and 3D models, GD&T, tolerances and critical dimensions.

Responsibilities include DFM design, mould/tool development and mould trials, APQP/PPAP documentation, PFMEA and Control Plan basics, dimensional inspection, root-cause analysis, and coordinating with customers, tooling, quality and production teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in plastic component development and injection moulding.
• Experience with OEMs / Tier-1 suppliers and precision plastic components.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership from customer drawing through DFM, tooling trials, validation and PPAP to production.
• Coordinate with customers, tooling, quality and production teams.

Job description

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a Development Engineer with hands‑on experience in plastic component development and injection moulding.

The candidate should be well versed in:

• Understanding plastic parts, 2D drawings and 3D models
• GD&T, dimensional tolerances, datums and critical dimensions
• DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and injection moulding fundamentals
• Mould/tool development and mould trials
• APQP and PPAP documentation and processes
• PFMEA, Control Plan and basic quality tools
• Dimensional inspection and interpretation of inspection reports
• Problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis
• Coordinating with customers, tooling, quality and production teams

Key Requirement

We need someone who can understand a component technically and take ownership from customer drawing DFM tooling trials validation PPAP production, rather than someone limited to documentation.

Preferred:

Experience with OEMs / Tier-1 suppliers and precision plastic components.
