Job summary

Future Tech Design is seeking an NX Design Engineer with hands-on experience in automotive plastic product design, focusing on interior parts. The role demands strong skills in solid and surface modelling, 2D drafting, and concept development, with a clear understanding of DFM/DFA and manufacturing feasibility.

The candidate should be adept at interpreting CAE results, addressing plastic part defects, and performing root-cause analysis with corrective actions, while coordinating with CAE,

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive plastic product design, preferably interior parts.
• Strong knowledge of solid modelling, surface modelling, and 2D drafting/drawing.
• Experience in concept development and section creation.
• Good understanding of plastic part design, DFM/DFA, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Knowledge of tolerance, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, assembly clearance, and validation.
• Ability to understand CAE results and develop appropriate countermeasures.
• Knowledge of plastic part defects, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Ability to coordinate with CAE, tooling, manufacturing, quality, and customer teams.
• Result-oriented with the ability to deliver time-bound project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Experience in automotive plastic product design, preferably interior parts.
• Proficient in solid modelling, surface modelling and 2D drafting/drawing.
• Develop concepts and section drawings for parts.
• Assess plastic part design for DFM/DFA and manufacturability.
• Understand tolerances, GD&T, stack-up, assembly clearance, and validation.
• Interpret CAE results and implement countermeasures.
• Identify defects and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with CAE, tooling, manufacturing, quality and customer teams.
• Deliver projects within defined time frames.
