Job summary

Hyres India in Bangalore is seeking a motivated Desktop Engineer Trainee to join our IT support team. You will assist with desktop support, hardware and software troubleshooting, system installations, and end-user computing.

You will gain hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, ticketing, and basic networking while contributing to fast, friendly user support and following company IT policies.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech/BSc/BCA or equivalent in CS/IT/electronics.
• Fresher/0 year experience.
• Basic knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and desktop hardware.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to users for desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral-related issues.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and standard business applications.
• Assist with hardware installation, replacement, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot software, application, connectivity, and basic network issues.
• Create, update, and maintain IT support tickets and technical documentation.
• Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access-related requests.
• Support antivirus, security updates, patches, and system maintenance activities.
• Assist senior engineers with IT infrastructure and desktop support activities.
• Maintain IT asset records and ensure proper allocation of hardware and peripherals.
• Follow company IT policies, security procedures, and standard troubleshooting processes.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or the appropriate support team.
