Job summary

Team Computers is seeking a Desktop Engineer in Mumbai to handle hardware fault diagnosis, OS installation, and software support for Office apps, anti-virus, and Outlook. You will provide L1/L2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals, while maintaining inventory and logging incidents through a ticketing system.

The role covers Troubleshooting LAN/WAN, device configurations, and basic network issues, with opportunities to engage with ISPs and vendors for connectivity.

Qualifications

• Hardware fault diagnosis & isolation on desktops / laptops.
• Installation and OS Support - Repair / Re-Installation or fresh Installation
• Installation and Software Support on Office Automation software, Anti-virus software, Email Client (Outlook), IE, Chrome & other Business Critical Applications
• Knowledge of network cable color coding & cross-cable crimping; Ticketing tool usage
• Network cable crimping and punching
• Provide L1/L2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
• Perform software installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Manage user accounts, system configurations, and access-related issues.
• Maintain IT assets and update hardware/software inventory.
• Log, track, and resolve incidents through the ticketing tool.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, Internet, and network connectivity issues.
• Basic configuration and troubleshooting of switches, routers, access points, and firewalls.
• Perform LAN cable testing, crimping, punching, and patch-panel-related activities.
• Understand IP addressing, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, and basic routing/switching concepts.
• Coordinate with ISP and network vendors for connectivity-related issues.
• Monitor network availability and elevate critical issues to the Network/IT team.

• Hardware fault diagnosis & isolation on desktops / laptops.
