Quest Global is seeking a senior specialist in locomotive subsystem design to drive CTQ, schedules, and quality across multiple business units. You will work with cross-functional teams including Designers, Engineers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Field service to ensure robust subsystems for locomotives and heavy industries.

You will apply advanced methods in FEA, GD&T, and PPAP, coordinate with customers across regions, and contribute to NPI projects, fixture design, and validation processes.

Formación

• 12-15 years of experience in subsystems / component design & development of locomotive / automobile / heavy industries.
• Should have strong proven experience in handling customers across multiple geographies and meeting resp customers processes and standards.
• Experience on NPI projects, Fixture design development, structural calculations, bolted joint, weld joint calculations.

Responsabilidades

• Own CTQ delivery, schedules, and quality for all teams within multiple business units.
• Provide solutions for shop-floor issues and support design verification activities.
• Generate manufacturing drawings (Sheetmetal, Castings, Forgings, Welding) with GD&T as applicable.
• Lead concept generation and FE analyses; interpret FEA reports.

Key Responsibilities

Technical skills:

• Should have in-depth knowledge of Loco – Including strong knowledge of systems and sub systems
• Cabs design specific to handle, Sealing, RAMS, Environmental Safety regulations
• Should have experience of handling sub systems like integration of Trucks, Traction motors, Fuel systems, Cabs
• Should have experience of design, verification, FEA, hand calculations, PPAP
• 12-15 years of experience in subsystems / component Design & Development of Locomotive / automobile / heavy industries
• Should have strong proven experience in handling customers across multiple geographies and meeting resp customers processes and standards
• Will be owning key CTQ like delivery, schedules, quality for all teams within multiple business units
• Experience on NPI projects, Fixture design development, structural calculations, bolted joint, weld joint calculations
• Analyzing shop issues and providing solutions
• Should have worked on concept generation using idea generation methods
• Have good knowledge on new component introduction process, FMEA and validation process of components
• Should be very good at GD&T, Tolerance stack-up, DFA/DFM/DFS
• Knowledge to Interpret FEA Analysis reports
• Strong knowledge in Industry Codes and Engineering standards like ASME, ISO & European specific standards
• Should have minimum 8+ years of experience as checker / Reviewer / SME
• Should have worked with cross-functional team of Designers, Engineers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Field service and external consulting engineering teams
• Should be able to generate Manufacturing drawings of various kinds (Sheetmetal, Castings, Forgings, Welding) with application of GD&T as applicable
• Present in meetings which will be scheduled with functional managers / CFT or toll gate reviews
• Shop floor experience in Sheetmetal, Casting, Forging, Metal joining techniques (Bolting, Welding, Riveting), plastics
• Should have worked with cross-functional team of Designers, Engineers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Field service and external consulting engineering teams.
• To focus on value additions and cost savings beyond the expected tasks by customer like Poke-Yoke Methods
• Experience in in multi-CAD tools like Nx / Catia / Solidworks / Creo
