Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned design engineer with 6–9 years of experience in subsystem/component design and development for locomotives, automobiles, or heavy industries. You will own CTQ metrics, drive on-time project tracking, and seek value additions and cost savings beyond customer expectations.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of experience in design and development of locomotives, automobiles, or heavy industries.
• Ownership of CTQ: delivery, schedules and quality within engineering teams.
• Project management activities performed on-time with tracker updates.
• Focus on value additions and cost savings beyond requested tasks.
• Strong engineering fundamentals.
• Proficiency in structural calculations, bolted and weld joints.
• Ability to analyze shop issues and provide solutions.
• Experience with concept generation using idea generation methods.
• Knowledge of new component introduction, FMEA and validation processes.
• Engineering standards knowledge (ANSI, ISO, ASTM).
• Good English communication and MS Office proficiency.
• GD&T, tolerance stack-up, DFA/DFM/DFS.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams across designers, engineers, manufacturing, sourcing, field service and external consultants.
• Experience in UG NX with TcE knowledge.
• Present in meetings with functional managers, CFT or toll gate reviews.
• Understanding of FEA coordination and review of FEA reports
