Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Mechanical CAD engineer to design and detail locomotive/automotive components. You will work on NX/UG NX10+, Teamcenter, and PMI-enabled models, delivering fabrication drawings with GD&T accuracy.

The role requires 1–5 years of hands-on CAD experience, strong problem-solving and mentoring abilities, and a solid understanding of industry standards such as ASME Y14.5. Join a team known for challenging projects and a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

• BE- Mechanical Engineering / BE - Mechanical/Automobile (Secondary)
• 5-10 years of CAD modelling & detailing experience
• Experience in Teamcenter-11 and above
• Experience in creating Fabrication Models & Drawings and Sheet Metal drawings
• Knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards

Responsibilities

• Create fabrication models and detailed drawings
• Perform CAD modelling and detailing for locomotive/automotive components
• Work with Teamcenter and PMI/MBD workflows
• Mentor and guide junior engineers

• Experience in Sheet Metal components Models & Drawings
• Expertise in using PMI environment and creating PMI models & Drawings (MBD)
• Experience in Engineering Bill of material creation, update and modification
• Strong knowledge on manufacturing drawings creation and drawing reading skills.
• Knowledge on the Geometric dimension & Tolerance
• Familiarity/Understanding of industry codes and standards such as ASME Y14.5

Work Experience

• B.E Mechanical /Industrial / Production Engineering with 1-5 years of experience in subsystem / component Design & Development of Locomotive / automobile / heavy industries
• Must have experience in CAD tools NX & Teamcenter
• Should be very good at GD&T, Tolerance stack-up, DFA/DFM/DFS
• Problem solving and decision-making skills
• Leading and mentoring the team
