Job summary

TVS Motor Company in India seeks an experienced R&D engineer for Chassis & Architecture Design (CA&D). You will develop 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for frames, subframes and related components, applying DFM, DFA and GD&T to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.

Collaborate with powertrain, electrical and prototyping teams to integrate components, perform basic structural analyses, and support design reviews from concept to release using Creo/CATIA tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience in chassis systems design and development.
• Familiar with GD&T and design-for-manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency in Creo/CATIA preferred.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• " - Understand and calculate loads acting on chassisand structural parts.
• - Develop 3D CADmodels and detailed 2D drawings for frames, subframes, swingarms and related structural components.
• - Apply Design forManufacturing, Design for Assembly, Design for Serviceability and GD&T principles.
• - Select materials based on strength, weight, cost and durability requirements.
• - Apply workingknowledge of chassis systems, including suspension and brakes, with deeperunderstanding of calipers, discs, master cylinders and combi-brake systems.
• - Perform basicstructural analyses and simulations to validate design performance.
• - Collaborate withpowertrain, electrical, prototyping, costing, assembly and manufacturing teams to ensure component integration.
• - Use CAD tools,preferably Creo, to create and release robust designs.
• - Support designreviews and closure of technical issues through structured problemsolving."

• "Internal - Chassis CoC, powertrain, electrical, prototyping, costing, assembly, manufacturing and other engineering teams.
• "External - Suppliers and technology partners supporting structural-component design and manufacturing, as applicable.
• " - Prepare and release component design documents anddrawings within the applicable engineering approval workflow.
• - Recommend design,material and manufacturing solutions based on analysis and technicalrequirements.
• - The source JD listsprocess direction, document release and budget approvals; these should bevalidated for applicability to this role before final approval."
