Job summary

TVS Motor Company is seeking a Design Engineer- Chassis - Frame to conceptualize and develop motorcycle chassis and structural components. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and ensure performance, safety and aesthetics.

You will create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for frames, subframes and related parts, applying DFM/ DFA/ DFS and GD&T, and you will assess materials based on strength, weight, cost and durability, coordinating with various

• Collaborate with powertrain, electrical, prototyping, costing, assembly and manufacturing teams.
• Prepare and release component design documents within engineering workflows.

Purpose of the Role

• - Conceptualize and develop motorcycle chassis andstructural components that meet performance, safety, manufacturability andaesthetic requirements.
• - Collaborate withcross-functional teams to drive innovation and contribute to exceptional ridingexperiences."

Key Responsibilities

• " - Understand and calculate loads acting on chassisand structural parts.
• - Develop 3D CADmodels and detailed 2D drawings for frames, subframes, swingarms and relatedstructural components.
• - Apply Design forManufacturing, Design for Assembly, Design for Serviceability and GD&Tprinciples.
• - Select materialsbased on strength, weight, cost and durability requirements.
• - Apply workingknowledge of chassis systems, including suspension and brakes, with deeperunderstanding of calipers, discs, master cylinders and combi-brake systems.
• - Perform basicstructural analyses and simulations to validate design performance.
• - Collaborate withpowertrain, electrical, prototyping, costing, assembly and manufacturing teamsto ensure component integration.
• - Use CAD tools,preferably Creo, to create and release robust designs.
• - Support designreviews and closure of technical issues through structured problemsolving."
