Job summary

Groupe SEGULA Technologies SA in Chennai is seeking a hands-on engineer for chassis systems design and development, focusing on brakes, suspension and wheels. You will create CAD models and drawings, ensure GD&T compliance in CATIA/3DX, and deliver components ready for production.

You will collaborate across D&R engineers and suppliers, ground up design for manufacturability, and navigate NPD milestones while coordinating across time zones.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Chassis Systems Design and Development – Brakes, Suspension, Wheels/Tires.
• CAD modeling, drawings and GD&T in CATIA/3DX for chassis components.
• Design and development of chassis aggregates with D&R engineers and suppliers.
• Ground-up design to production with manufacturing, assembly and service feasibility.
• Strong understanding of NPD process, milestones and delivery criteria.

Job description

• Extensive Knowledge in CATIA V5 / 3DX (GSD, Part Modelling, Drawing, Assembly & Kinematics)
• Expert in Sheetmetal design, Engineering operations, Manufacturing processes
• Good Knowledge and hands-on experience in GD&T
• Good Knowledge in Teamcenter Engineering & Vismockup
• Knowledge in WERS, GPDS & DPA 0/1, Ford Global Change Management (GCM) process would be an advantage
• Having flexibility to work across time zones as role involves extensive interaction globally

Job Description

• Expertise in Chassis Systems Design and Development - Brakes, Suspension, Wheels/Tires
• Responsible for developing CAD models, Drawings & GD&T in CATIA / 3DX, for Chassis components in Suspension, Brakes, Steering
• Functional expertise in design and development of Chassis aggregates and to take technical decisions with D&R Engineers and suppliers as required
• Ability to ground-up design of Chassis components through detailed design and delivery into production, by establishing manufacturing, assembly and service feasibility
• Good understanding of New Product Development process, program milestones and delivery success criteria for Engineering
