Role Overview

The Design Engineer will be responsible for performing drafting activities, preparing technical documentation, coordinating with project teams, and supporting procurement and proposal functions. This role requires strong technical expertise, accuracy in documentation, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Documentation & Drafting

• Prepare and review technical documents, data sheets, and related engineering paperwork
• Draft technical content using MS Word, Excel, and prescribed formats
• Review engineering drawings such as P&ID, GA, and manufacturing drawings
• Track and update the status of document/drawing submissions and approvals

Project & Client Coordination

• Coordinate with project and customer teams for timely approval of technical documents
• Communicate with clients to resolve technical queries and provide clarifications
• Prepare CRS/replies for commented drawings and documents received from clients

Data Collection & Submission

• Gather technical data from internal teams and vendors for customer submissions
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of all submitted documents
• Prepare and release Indent/MR to procurement for BOI
• Review techno-commercial offers received from vendors
• Coordinate with vendors for TQ resolution and ensure timely responses
• Issue TBA to procurement for BOI when required

Quality & Compliance

• Maintain technical documentation for QMS audits
• Ensure adherence to company and industry-specific quality standards

Support to Proposal Team

• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to obtain BOI pricing
• Provide precise technical inputs to support proposal and bid preparation
