Job summary

Talent Corner Hr Services in India seeks a Project Design Engineer with 0-3 years of mechanical design experience for the Projects Engineering department. The role focuses on 3D modelling, piping design, and standard-compliant documentation for turnkey projects in defence.

You will work with SolidWorks, DraftSight, and MS Office to develop BOMs, drawings, and technical reports, driving cost-effective, reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of international codes and standards like ASME, ISO, DIN, IS.
• Knowledge of fabrication, GD&T, manufacturing and welding processes.
• Ability to prepare P&IDs as per tender specifications and select piping components.
• Piping design and pressure vessel design; selection of valves, flanges, fittings, and equipment.
• Preparing BOM for all parts and material orders.
• 3D modelling of the entire project and associated equipment; 2D drawings for parts & assemblies; isometric drawings for piping layouts.
• Innovative concept generation, cost reduction, standardization.
• Documentation of design and project related work.
• Mechanical design calculations.
• Must have knowledge about ASME & ISO standards.
• Documentation skill - BOM, Datasheets and related documents.

Responsibilities

• Independent working ability with good communication & management skills.
• Should have good drafting speed & be able to visualize Structural drawings.
• Should be conversant with Solid Works, DraftSight, word, and Excel & have an aptitude for Design work.
• In-depth knowledge of Solid Works 3D CAD software and understanding of current manufacturing technologies.
• Must have a good mechanical aptitude with ability to develop product concepts.
