Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited, Automotive and Farm Equipment Business, seeks a seasoned Maintenance Engineer to improve equipment uptime and drive TPM across lines in Maharashtra. The role focuses on preventive and predictive maintenance, downtime reduction, and TPM adherence.

You will lead RCA/CAPA activities, manage critical spares, ensure safety and EHS compliance, and collaborate with production teams to maintain optimal takt times and line balance on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/BTech) in Mechanical/Automotive.
• 5–10 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Experience with TPM, RCA/CAPA, preventive and predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Improve MTBF across production lines via preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for conveyors, robots, and utilities.
• Lead breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Drive RCA and CAPA for recurring equipment failures.
• Coordinate with production to avoid takt time disruption and line imbalance.
• Manage spare parts inventory and optimize costs.
• Implement TPM pillars and ensure safety/EHS compliance.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Ensure maximum equipment uptime (MTBF improvement) across lines through effective preventive and predictive maintenance practices
• Execute and monitor planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules for critical assets such as conveyors, tightening systems, robots, and utilities
• Lead breakdown maintenance activities, ensuring minimum downtime and quick restoration of production operations
• Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for recurring equipment failures
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure zero disruption to takt time and line balancing
• Manage and maintain spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical spares while optimizing cost
• Implement and sustain TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) pillars, including Autonomous Maintenance and Focused Improvement
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory norms, and EHS requirements during maintenance activities
