Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is hiring a Deputy Manager - Maintenance for its Chakan plant. You will drive maintenance strategies to maximise equipment availability, lead TPM pillars, and supervise preventive/predictive maintenance for conveyors, robots and utilities.

You will coordinate with production to minimise downtime and ensure safety and EHS compliance, while managing spare parts inventory and driving RCA/CAPA for recurring issues.

Qualifications

• BE / Mechanical / Automobile degree required or equivalent.
• 5-10 years of maintenance experience in automotive/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of TPM, preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Experience with RCA/CAPA and safety/EHS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maximum equipment uptime across lines via preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Execute and monitor planned preventive maintenance schedules for critical assets (conveyors, robots, utilities).
• Lead breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime and restore production quickly.
• Drive RCA and CAPA for recurring equipment failures.
• Coordinate with production to avoid disruptions to takt time and line balancing.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical spares while controlling costs.
• Implement and sustain TPM pillars including Autonomous Maintenance and Focused Improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory norms, and EHS requirements.

• Ensure maximum equipment uptime (MTBF improvement) across lines through effective preventive and predictive maintenance practices
• Execute and monitor planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules for critical assets such as conveyors, tightening systems, robots, and utilities
• Lead breakdown maintenance activities, ensuring minimum downtime and quick restoration of production operations
• Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for recurring equipment failures
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure zero disruption to takt time and line balancing
• TCF Controls Engineering Knowhow
• Manage and maintain spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical spares while optimizing cost
• Implement and sustain TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) pillars, including Autonomous Maintenance and Focused Improvement
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory norms, and EHS requirements during maintenance activities
