Job summary

Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation, a Schneider Electric unit in India, is seeking a Deputy Manager - Production for the Ahmednagar Factory. You will lead shop-floor operations, drive Lean initiatives and ensure timely customer order fulfillment.

The role requires a production degree with 2–5 years of experience, and familiarity with SAP and MS Office. You will optimize processes, improve quality, and contribute to safety and productivity on the line.

  • Degree in Production or equivalent.
  • 2–5 years of production experience.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and quality basics.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve production targets monthly, quarterly and yearly as per schedules.
  • Improve quality on production lines with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Drive cost-saving through digitalization, automation and productivity improvements.
  • Complete customer orders within 7 days and pursue continuous improvement via Lean/Value Stream/ PFMEA.
  • Lead TPM initiatives, safety improvements and 5S on the shop floor.
  • Improve labour productivity on the shop floor.

Key Deliverables / Key Responsibilities/Deliverables (Min 4 need to be filled in decreasing order of importance)
  • 1 Achieve Annual/Monthly/Daily Production targets as per schedules.
  • 2 Improve quality level for production lines with root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • 3 Cost Saving through digitalization, automation, value engg, material productivity, labour productivity
  • 4 Complete customer orders within 7 days. Continuous improvement through Lean/VSM/Pokayoke/PFMEA projects
  • 5 TPM Initiatives on shop floor. Safety Improvements. 5S Sustenance on shop.
  • 6 Improve labour productivity in shop.
