Job summary

Gallagher in India – Global Shared Services is seeking a Deputy Manager – Operations Management for Bangalore. The role involves leading and coordinating a team within a global operations center, driving process improvements, and ensuring high-quality service to clients.

You will manage 10+ FTEs, drive Kaizen initiatives, and deliver MIS reports while maintaining a positive, adaptable work environment. This is a hybrid role with partial office scheduling in Bangalore.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Post Graduate degree, preferably in commerce.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any field.
• 4+ years of post-qualification experience in the BPO/KPO industry (Insurance Domain).
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Team Lead; currently designated as a Team Lead.

• Understand operational requirements, research best practices, and assist with the design and implementation of new processes and tools.
• Cultivate a team environment that provides exceptional customer service and ensures all staff members perform at a consistently high level.
• Motivate team members, instill accountability, and achieve results.
• Lead and manage teams with prior Team Lead experience.
• Handle a team of 10+ FTEs.
• Prepare MIS reports.
• Interact with customers and manage their queries.

• Lead and manage teams with prior Team Lead experience.
• Handle a team of 10+ FTEs.
• Generate process improvement ideas through Kaizen and projects.
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability to enhance organizational reputation.
• Maintain a positive attitude and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment.

About you

Qualifications

• Education
• Graduate/Post Graduate (Preferably Commerce).
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree.
• Experience
• Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience in the BPO/KPO industry (Insurance Domain).
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Team Lead on paper.
• Must currently be designated as a Team Lead.
• Skills & Competencies
• Proven people management skills.
• Service delivery experience.
• Good academic record (50% or above).
• Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written).
• Strong analytical skills.

• Ability to lead and manage operational teams effectively.
