Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited [Automotive and Farm Equipment Business] is seeking an experienced maintenance engineer to oversee welding equipment and automation systems in our BIW shop. You will work hands-on with spot welding guns, CO2, stud welding, and robots from Fanuc, KUKA and ABB, ensuring smooth operation and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates hold a BE or Diploma in Engineering with relevant automotive experience and are adept at troubleshooting Allen-Bradley hardware,

Qualifications

• BE with minimum 3+ years in automotive BIW/maintenance.
• Diploma in Engineering with 7+ years of experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs, automation devices and robotics will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment like IT spot welding, CO2 welding, stud welding (Tucker).
• Operate and troubleshoot PLC/automation hardware with Rockwell software.
• Program and maintain robotic cells for welding, hemming and material handling (Fanuc, KUKA, ABB).
• Troubleshoot BIW material handling equipment (EMS, conveyors, lifts, hoists, transfer systems).
• Assist MES and apply equipment performance improvement tools; ensure compliance with EMS and OHSAS.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Hands on experience of Maintaining Equipments like IT spot welding gun, CO2 welding , stud welding ( Tucker make ) used in BIW shop.
• Operation & trouble shooting of PLC & Automation devices with networking of Allen Bradley hardware with Rockwell software environment like RsLogix5000, RS studio, Drive Tools, Device-net ,Ether-Net etc.
• Programming & Maintenance of Robotic cell for welding, hemming & material handling application (Robots like Fanuc, KUKA, ABB ).
• Troubleshooting & improvements of BIW Material handling equipment like EMS, Conveyors, Lifts, Hoists, transfer system, power roller bed etc.
• Exposure to manufacturing Execution system (MES).
• Application of equipment performance improvement tool & knowledge of OHSAS & EMS.
• Knowledge of SAP
