Job summary

Indo Rama Synthetics seeks a procurement professional to manage end-to-end plant procurement across Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, CAPEX/OPEX, spares and services. You will handle both domestic and import procurement, coordinate import documentation, customs clearance, freight forwarders and logistics.

The role requires identifying and developing vendors/OEMs, conducting RFQs and negotiations, driving cost reductions, and finalizing long-term contracts.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in plant procurement and materials management.
• Ability to handle both domestic and import procurement and related documentation.
• Proven track record in supplier development and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for plant requirements across Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, CAPEX/OPEX and spares.
• Handle domestic and import procurement, including import documentation, customs clearance, freight and logistics.
• Identify and develop vendors/OEMs/authorized dealers to broaden the supplier base.
• Conduct RFQ, quotation analysis, negotiation, vendor evaluation and finalization of orders.
• Drive cost reduction, alternate vendor/product development, and long-term contracts with OEMs.
• Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities and price movements to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Projects, Stores and Finance for timely procurement.
• Handle urgent/ad-hoc procurement while ensuring commercial effectiveness and on-time delivery.
• Oversee PR to PO cycle, open orders and procurement lead times.
• Manage vendor performance, quality, delivery and supplier development.
• Maintain procurement records including quotations, rate approvals and purchase orders.
• Support supplier audits and procurement compliance; prepare MIS and cost-saving reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for plant requirements covering Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, CAPEX, OPEX, consumables, spares and services.
• Handle domestic and import procurement, including coordination for import documentation, customs clearance, freight forwarders and logistics.
• Identify, evaluate and develop new vendors/OEMs/authorized dealers to strengthen the supplier base.
• Conduct RFQ, quotation analysis, commercial negotiation, vendor evaluation and order finalization to achieve optimum cost, quality and delivery.
• Drive cost reduction, alternate vendor development and alternate product development initiatives.
• Negotiate and finalize Annual/Long-Term Rate Contracts with OEMs and authorized suppliers.
• Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, material availability and price movements to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Electrical, Instrumentation, Engineering, Projects, Stores and Finance for timely procurement and material availability.
• Handle urgent/ad-hoc procurement requirements while ensuring commercial effectiveness and timely delivery.
• Monitor Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO) cycle, open orders and procurement lead time.
• Manage vendor performance, including quality, delivery, commercial performance and supplier development.
• Maintain procurement documentation including quotation evaluation, rate approval, purchase orders, vendor records and related commercial documents.
• Support supplier audits, internal/external audits and procurement compliance.
• Prepare procurement MIS, supplier performance reports, cost-saving reports and management presentations.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, SOPs, transparency and commercial controls.
