Job summary

HR Equity Talent Hiring Partners seeks a Deputy Manager – Head Office to drive business development and oversee functional operations in the capital markets space. You will acquire clients across retail, HNI and institutions, grow brokerage revenue and coordinate with Accounts, Operations, Dealing, Compliance, Risk and Depository teams.

The role demands strong sales, negotiation and relationship management, with the ability to report to senior management and ensure adherence to regulatory

Qualifications

• Graduation or post-graduation in Commerce, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Experience in stock broking, capital markets, financial services or investment-related businesses.
• Proven sales, client acquisition, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, reporting and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and report to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Acquire new retail, HNI and institutional clients for equity, derivatives and other capital market products.
• Generate business through networking, referrals, client meetings and strategic follow-ups.
• Manage the sales pipeline and drive lead conversion, account opening, activation and first trade.
• Achieve client acquisition and revenue targets; reactivate dormant clients and grow existing accounts.
• Monitor market developments and competitor offerings; submit sales and revenue reports to the Director.
• Coordinate with Accounts, Operations, Dealing, Compliance, Risk and Depository teams to ensure smooth functioning.
• Monitor departmental deliverables, resolve pending matters, improve processes and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Role Overview

A commercially driven professional with strong sales and business development experience, along with expertise in at least one of the following: Accounts & Finance, Compliance, or Fundamental Research & Investment Analysis. The role involves client acquisition, brokerage revenue growth, relationship management and coordination of head office functions, working directly with the Director.
