Job summary

Porter, a leading last-mile logistics platform, seeks a senior regional head in Coimbatore to drive P&L across multiple states/cities, plan growth, and lead a diverse team. The role demands strong data-driven decision making, stakeholder management, and a strategic approach to expanding presence in a fast-paced, nationwide operation.

The ideal candidate will have 3–7 years of relevant experience, MBA from a reputed institute, and proficiency in multiple South Indian languages.

Qualifications

• MBA from Tier1/Tier2 college
• 3–7 years work experience in relevant roles
• Languages Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu are a plus

Responsibilities

• P&L of all states/cities in the region.
• Plan for growth and market penetration in the region—pricing and promotions.
• Acquire customers and drivers; manage lifecycle.
• Strategize and run day-to-day regional operations.
• Implement and refine processes to fit organizational goals.
• Coordinate ground ops with technology and core operations.
• Gather product and market intelligence for product improvement.
• Devise implementation strategies for new products/processes/features.
• Plan, hire, train and utilize resources across functions.
• Foster long-term, profitable relationships with partners and ensure supply retention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for P&L of all the states/cities in the region


• Plan for growth and market penetration in the region - pricing and promotion etc


• Responsible for Customer and Driver Acquisition and lifecycle management


• Responsible for Strategizing and handling day-to-day operations in the region


• Implement new processes and refine existing processes in operations that fit within the organisational goals


• Responsible for integration of ground operations with technology, central lifecycle and core operations


• Gather product and market intelligence for the improvement of the product


• Devise Implementation strategy for new products/processes/features launched


• Planning, hiring, training and effective utilisation of resources in different functions


• To ensure long-term and profitable relationships with business partners and supply retention


• Contributing to long-term goals around business and people development, including succession planning & retention

• Strong comfort with data and ability to stitch stories and recommendations through data insights.


• Ability to manage a team spanning cities and willingness to travel extensively


• Proven track record of employee performance management and development


• Strong attention to detail and user-centric approach

• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize work, handle changing priorities, and use of good judgment.


• Ability to develop, test, and execute marketing campaigns


• Prior experience working in strategy/business excellence/program management roles preferably in consumer/partner - facing industry will be an advantage


• Knowledge of any/some of the languages (Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu) is must


• Educational background - MBA from Tier1/Tier 2 college


• Work Experience - Prior work experience of 3-7 years
