Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Mumbai seeks a compliance and underwriting professional to enhance loan syndication efforts and strengthen internal controls. Qualifications

• Experience in loan syndication and project finance.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and internal policies.
• Experience with departmental audits and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Relationship Management groups to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Implement policies and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Develop and maintain internal control systems within the department to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Participate in departmental audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement corrective actions to address gaps identified during audits, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Continuous scanning of loan syndication opportunities in the sector in close coordination with banks' relationship and credit team.
• Identify groups for underwriting.
• Develop deal structures and negotiate terms in line with prevailing market dynamics.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Relevant experience in loan syndication, project finance background.
