Job summary

DS Smith, through its TMS Global subsidiary, is seeking a Data Technician (Packaging) to join the Shared Services Centre. You will manage specification/POS data across multiple materials, maintain databases, and support 2D/3D drawings in CAD.

Hands-on CAD (Artios or similar), Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office experience, with attention to detail and ability to analyze metrics to improve data accuracy and project delivery. European working hours.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (spoken and written) and local regional language as required.
• Hands-on experience with CAD software (Artios or similar) for 2D/3D drawings and key lines.
• Strong attention to detail with data analysis experience and metrics improvement.
• Retail/print and display industry knowledge is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office (incl. Excel, Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting and recording specification/POS data from customers, suppliers, and development team.
• Create, update and verify 2D & 3D specification/POS drawings and CAD key lines.
• Provide technical data support for procurement.
• Monitor and maintain KPI related to specification/POS data accuracy and timeframes.

Data Technician (Packaging)

TMS Global specialise in the outsourcing of retail display, print and packaging and are active in 97 markets globally. Our TMS community consists of just over 300 people who are spread internationally across APAC, LATAM, EMEA and NA.

About the role

TMS Global are seeking a Data Technician to work within the Shared Services Centre, you will be responsible for supporting the management of specification/Point of Sale data and specifications across multiple materials. The role focuses on maintaining accurate specifications/POS databases, assisting in data collection, creating and reviewing 2D/3D drawings and supporting technical documentation. This role is offered on an initial 12 month contract and will support European working hours.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Assist in collecting and recording specification/POS from customers, suppliers and specification/POS development team.
• Create, update and check 2D & 3D specification/POS drawings and key lines in CAD for retail specifications, ensuring accuracy against customer and supplier requirements.
• Provide technical data support for procurement.
• Monitor and maintain KPI’s replated to specification/POS data accuracy and timeframes.

About you

To be successful in the role, the following skills are essential:

• Fluency in English both spoken and written, together with language skills based on the local region.
• Hands-on experience in CAD software (Artios or similar) including creating 2D & 3D specification/POS drawings and key lines for retail specifications.
• Strong attention to detail with solid a analysis exposure, together with experience in analysing customer satisfaction metrics and implementing improvements.
• Retail experience or knowledge of the print and display industry.
• Competency in Adobe Creative Suite and all Microsoft Office Platforms, including Excel and Power BI.

As Data Technician you will have strong CAD skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to ensure timely and accurate delivery of multiple projects.
