Job summary

Praxair India Private Limited in Bengaluru seeks a Data Scientist for AI products to join the Global AI team. You will work with diverse data sources to derive actionable insights, develop AI software using ML backends, and help deploy models into production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Data Science, Computational Statistics/Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research or related field.
• Strong understanding of multivariate statistics, ML and probability concepts.
• Experience articulating business questions and using quantitative techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support Linde's Global AI initiatives and extend existing AI products across business value chain.
• Work with diverse data sources to derive actionable insights.
• Develop, customize and manage AI software products based on ML backends.
• Support replication of existing products and pipelines in the global AI team.
• Assist in architectural design and defining data requirements for new developments.
• Interact with business functions to identify opportunities and deploy models in production.

Making an impact. What will you do?

• As a DataScientistAI you will support Linde's Global initiatives and segmentswithextendingexisting and building new AI productsfora vast amountofuses cases across Linde’s business and value chain
• You will work directly witha variety ofdifferentdatasources, types and structuresto deriveactionableinsights
• Develop, customize and manageAI software productsbased onMachine and Deep Learningbackends will be your primary tasks
• Your role includes strong support on replication of existing productsand pipelines to other systemsin the global AI team
• In addition to that you will support inarchitecturaldesignand defining data requirements for newdevelopments
• It will be your responsibility to interactwith businessfunctions in identifying opportunitieswith potential business impactandto supportdevelopment and deployment of models intoproduction

• You have aBachelor orMastersDegree inData Science, ComputationalStatistics/Mathematics,Computer Science, Operations Researchorrelated field
• Further to thatyou have a strong understanding of and practicalexperiencewithMultivariateStatistics, MachineLearningandProbabilityconcepts
• You gainedexperienceinarticulating business questions and usingquantitative techniques to arrive at a solution using available data
• You demonstratehands-on experience with preprocessing, feature engineering, featureselection and data cleansing on real world datasets
• Preferably youhave work experience in an engineering or technology role
• You bring astrong backgroundofPythonandhandling large datasets using SQL in a business environment(pandas, numpy, matplotlib,seaborn, sklearn, keras, tensorflow, pytorch, statsmodels etc.) to therole
• You have a soundknowledge of data architecturesand concepts and practical experiencein the visualization of large datasets,e.g.withTableauor PowerBI
• Result drivenmindset andexcellentcommunication skills with high socialcompetence gives you the ability to structure a project from idea toexperimentationto prototype to implementation
• Very good Englishskills are required
• As a plus youhave hands-on experience withDevOps andMS Azure, experience inAzure ML, Kedro or Airflow, experience in MLflow or similar.
• Working-hour flexibility to overlap with Americas time zones for real-time interaction and efficient delivery execution.
