Job Description

Data Centre Head is responsible for managing the operations, availability, security, infrastructure, and service continuity of the organizations data centre environment. The includes overseeing servers, storage, networks, backup systems, access controls, monitoring, vendor management, disaster recovery, preventive maintenance, incident management, and IT infrastructure teams to ensure reliable and secure data centre operations.

• Manage overall day-to-day data centre operations.
• Lead and supervise data centre infrastructure and technical teams.
• Ensure availability and reliability of servers, storage, networks, and critical systems.
• Monitor data centre infrastructure performance and capacity.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Manage data centre incidents, outages, escalations, and service restoration.
• Ensure regular data backup and recovery processes are maintained.
• Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements.
• Monitor physical and logical access controls for data centre facilities.
• Support cybersecurity, endpoint protection, and infrastructure security measures.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance and support.
• Manage hardware, software, licenses, and infrastructure assets.
• Plan capacity upgrades and infrastructure expansion as required.
• Monitor environmental systems such as power, cooling, fire protection, and related facilities.
