We are looking for an experienced Costing & Tendering Manager – Electrical EPC to manage end-to-end tendering, estimation, costing and techno-commercial bidding activities for electrical EPC and power infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in electrical project estimation, BOQ preparation, tender analysis, government and PSU tenders, GeM/e‑tendering portals, vendor negotiations and techno‑commercial proposals.

Manage the complete tendering process for government departments, PSUs, DISCOMs, electricity boards and municipal organizations.
Identify and evaluate tender opportunities through GeM and government e‑tendering portals.
Study tender documents, technical specifications, eligibility criteria and Bidder Qualification Requirements (BQR).
Prepare pre‑qualification, technical and commercial tender documentation.
Coordinate EMD, Performance Bank Guarantees, tender security and other commercial requirements.
Analyse price escalation clauses, liquidated damages, payment terms and contractual risks.
Develop competitive bidding strategies for L1 government and PSU tenders.
Handle RFQs, RFPs and commercial proposals received from industrial companies, manufacturers, corporate clients and infrastructure companies.
Prepare techno‑commercial offers based on customer requirements.
Analyse project profitability, pricing structures, execution costs and expected margins.
Coordinate with technical and sales teams to develop competitive proposals.
Participate in commercial negotiations with customers and procurement teams.
Support closure of private‑sector electrical EPC and industrial projects.
Prepare detailed project cost estimates, BOQs and quantity take-offs.
Study Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical drawings, technical specifications and project requirements.
Estimate electrical infrastructure costs for:
HT/LT systems
Electrical substations
Switchyards
Transformers
HT/LT switchgear
Control panels
Transmission lines
MV VFD systems
Power distribution systems
Turnkey electrical EPC projects
Prepare detailed cost sheets and commercial comparison statements.
Ensure accurate material, manpower, subcontracting and project execution cost calculations.
Develop and maintain a strong database of electrical equipment suppliers, vendors and subcontractors.
Obtain and compare competitive quotations for major electrical equipment and services.
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms and commercial conditions with vendors.
Conduct technical and commercial comparisons of supplier quotations.
Coordinate with procurement and engineering teams to validate technical specifications and pricing.
Identify commercial and contractual risks before bid submission.
Evaluate risks related to commodity price fluctuations, project delays, LD clauses, warranty obligations and payment terms.
Maintain bid-level risk evaluation and mitigation plans.
Ensure project pricing remains competitive while protecting expected margins.
Support management in final bid pricing and approval.
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
3–7 years of relevant experience in Electrical EPC, Power Distribution, Substation or Power Infrastructure companies.
Strong experience in cost estimation, tendering, BOQ preparation and techno‑commercial proposals.
Experience handling Government, PSU, DISCOM or electricity board tenders.
Working knowledge of GeM and online e‑tendering platforms.
Good understanding of HT/LT electrical systems, substations, transformers, switchgear and power distribution.
Ability to read and interpret SLDs, electrical drawings and technical specifications.
Strong vendor negotiation and commercial evaluation skills.
Good understanding of EMD, BG, LD, escalation clauses and contractual terms.
Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
Candidates currently working as Tendering Engineer, Estimation Engineer, Costing Engineer, Proposal Engineer, Tender Engineer, Bid Engineer, Electrical Estimation & Tendering Engineer or Techno‑Commercial Engineer in an Electrical EPC or Power Distribution company will be preferred.
Candidates with a combination of Government/PSU tendering + private industrial project bidding experience will have an advantage.
