Job summary

MSR Infraa in Bengaluru is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs for high-rise residential projects. You will perform take-offs, prepare BOQs, and oversee billing and cost control, coordinating with site engineers, procurement, and contractors.

The ideal candidate holds a BE/BTech in Civil with 4–6 years' experience in QS, cost estimation, rate analysis, and subcontractor evaluation; proficiency in Excel and AutoCAD is essential.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 4–6 years of Quantity Surveying experience, cost estimation and cost control.
• Strong experience in quantity take-off, BOQ prep, rate analysis, billing and bill certification.
• Proficient in MS Excel and AutoCAD, good understanding of drawings.

Job description

The Quantity Surveyor (QS) is responsible for managing project costs, preparing BOQs, handling billing, and ensuring cost control for residential apartment construction projects. The role requires coordination with site engineers, contractors, and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) as per drawings.
• Handle client billing and contractor billing.
• Take off quantities from drawings (RCC, finishing, etc.)
• Verify and certify contractor bills.
• Track project costs and maintain budget control.
• Prepare rate analysis and cost estimates.
• Monitor material consumption and reconciliation.
• Coordinate with site team for work progress and measurements.
• Maintain billing records and documentation.
• Assist in tendering and subcontractor evaluation.
• Experience in ERP systems such as SAP or similar software is preferred.

Required Skills

Required Qualifications & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with 4-6 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Billing, Cost Estimation, and Cost Control, preferably in highrise residential projects.
• Strong experience in quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, client/contractor billing, bill certification, and material reconciliation.
• Hands-on experience in RCC, finishing works, Aluminium/MIVAN shuttering, cost tracking, budgeting, tendering, and subcontractor evaluation.
• Proficient in MS Excel and AutoCAD, with a good understanding of construction drawings, contract terms, and billing documentation.
