Job summary

Rossell Techsys in Karnataka is seeking an experienced Estimation Specialist to support aerospace cost estimation activities across RFx processes. You will evaluate technical data, determine costs, and work with OEM/OCM specs to strengthen bidding and costing strategies.

You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure on-time pricing, leveraging Excel, ERP tools, and data analytics for long-term cost optimization.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in estimation / supply chain preferably in electro-mechanical industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Macros, Power Pivots, complex formulas, and data protection; ERP expertise.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands on Office Tool Craft, statistical techniques.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Role Description

This position is created to support the execution of the Estimation process (es) to achieve required objectives.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

Process Execution:

• 4+ years of direct experience estimating one or more of the following types of aerospace assemblies and sub-assemblies, Cable harness, circuit cards, box builds, automated test equipment, or detail mechanical parts . Such cost estimates shall be in support of Requests for Information or Proposals (RFx) .
• Has the ability to understand the technical data package, decipher the various components, tools, practices, and determine cost.
• Is able to Investigate, interpret, and make recommendations related to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Original Component Manufacturer (OCM) specifications, MIL Specs, Part specs, equivalents, complying with AS9100 standards and requirements, to assist company's bidding and costing approach.
• Conduct Make/Buy analysis and make recommendations, as required.
• Ensures on time estimations for on-time submission of pricing/ proposals to customers.
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain Team, Engineering team, Quality Team, Industrial Engineering Team and Manufacturing team during the estimation process.
• Is familiar with estimation techniques, learning curves, optimization of effort, for long term estimation strategies,
• Must be familiar with statistical techniques to better manage historical data, forecasts, and predictions for long term costing opportunities.
• Prepare Ad hoc reports on need basis.

Risk and opportunity Management: Supports Estimation techniques and methods to ensure accuracy of estimation to within +/- 15% from actuals, to minimize risks. Ensure the company and customers' intellectual properties are protected. Maintain Highest levels of confidentiality on estimation data, on a strictly need-to-know-basis.

Preferred candidate profile

• 3-5 years of experience in estimation / supply chain preferably in electro-mechanical industry
• High levels of Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Macros, Power Pivots, complex formulae, and data protection, alongside deep ERP expertise.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands on Office Tool Craft, statistical techniques
