Prepare accurate cost estimates for new aerospace parts, assemblies, tooling and manufacturing projects based on drawings, specifications and customer RFQs.
Estimation accuracy 95%; quotations submitted within agreed timelines
Study aerospace drawings, BOMs, specifications, GD&T, material requirements, special processes and customer requirements before costing.
100% technical inputs reviewed before quotation
Calculate raw material, bought-out components, consumables, wastage, scrap and yield factors for metals/composites and other aerospace materials.Material variance maintained within approved tolerance
Develop operation-wise costing covering machining, fabrication, composite manufacturing, assembly, inspection, testing and finishing processes.Operation-wise costing available for 100% quotations
Establish standard labour hours, machine hours, setup time, cycle time and process rates based on actual manufacturing data.Standard costing accuracy 95%
Estimate tooling, fixtures, jigs, gauges, dies, molds and special equipment requirements for aerospace projects.Tooling estimates completed within quotation timelines
Obtain and evaluate costs for NDT, heat treatment, surface treatment, plating, painting, composite processing, testing and other special processes.Competitive and technically compliant vendor quotes
Analyse customer RFQs, prepare commercial cost sheets and support Sales/BD in submitting technically and commercially viable quotations.100% RFQs responded within target timeline
Benchmark estimated costs against previous programs, similar components, market rates and historical actual costs.Continuous reduction in estimation variance
