Primary Responsibilities – Copywriter (Mainline)

• Regularly monitor and analyze advertising activities of competitive brands, particularly across TV, print, outdoor, and digital platforms, to stay informed about communication styles, messaging strategies, and creative benchmarks.
• Study and understand the client’s sales performance, market share data, and competitive landscape to appreciate the strategic rationale behind communication initiatives.
• Conduct ongoing research to identify emerging creative trends within the client’s category and proactively share relevant insights with the creative team.
• Thoroughly review and interpret creative briefs to ensure complete understanding of objectives, target audience, tonality, and key deliverables. Seek clarification where necessary before commencing work.
• Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute strong, insight-driven ideas during concept development discussions with Creative and Client Management teams.
• Develop compelling mainline copy concepts for TVCs, print ads, outdoor campaigns, radio, and integrated campaigns. Present multiple routes where required and refine or rework ideas based on feedback until alignment is achieved.
• Ensure all copy adheres strictly to the brief, brand guidelines, and timeline requirements outlined in job requisitions.
• Collaborate closely with Art Directors, Designers, Studio, and Production teams to ensure seamless execution of concepts and accuracy in final output.
• Proofread all copy across layouts, scripts, and final artworks to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and consistency in tone and messaging.
• Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining high standards of creativity, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines.
• Present creative ideas and scripts confidently and persuasively to senior Creative and Client Management teams, articulating the strategic logic and consumer insight behind each concept.
