Job summary

Balajee Group in Mumbai seeks a Contract Manager to serve as the primary contact for contract matters with external vendors and internal teams. The role includes tender screening, document handling, and rigorous contract review to minimize risk and maximize benefit.

You will monitor obligations, prepare status reports, coordinate with Projects, Budgeting, Design, and other departments, and ensure compliance throughout the contract lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in Tender Management, Marketing, Sales and Pricing within infrastructure industries.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related matters with external vendors.
• Check tenders online and search tenders from government and e-procurement portals.
• Circulate notices inviting tenders to Contracts Manager/Director for action/approval.
• Download tender documents and forward to Contracts Manager.
• Review and negotiate contracts to meet business objectives, minimizing risks and maximizing benefits.
• Prepare and present regular reports on contract status, risks and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve contract-related matters and maintain open communication throughout the lifecycle.
• Manage contracts from initiation to close, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Maintain records related to contracts (indents, work orders, amendments).
• Work with Projects, Budgeting, Cost Control, Process Systems, and Design teams to align contracts with needs.
• Support internal audits related to contract management.
• Analyze and mitigate contractual risks and monitor obligations.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related matters with external vendors.
2. Checking tenders online, Search Tenders from Tender searching Sites & State Govt. various sites (e procure, procure, tender wizard, GEM portal etc)
3. Circulating the Notice inviting Tender to Contracts Manager / Director for necessary action / approval.
4. Download tender document and forward to Contracts Manager.
5. Review and negotiate contracts to ensure they meet business objectives, minimizing risks and maximizing benefits.
6. Prepare and present regular reports on contract status, risks, and compliance.
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve contract-related matters and maintain open communication throughout the contract lifecycle.
8. Manage contracts from initiation to close, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
9. Maintaining all records related to Contracts e.g. Indents, work orders, advances amendments etc.
10. Work closely with internal departments (Projects, Budgeting, Cost Control & Process System, Designs) to align contracts with project and business needs.
11. Support internal audits related to contract management.
12. Analyze and mitigate contractual risks. Monitoring contractual obligations to be performed by various parties.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience in Tender Management, Marketing, Sales and Pricing with in Infrastructure Industries, E- governance, with Private & PSU.
