Job summary

Star Grower Group is looking for a dedicated Labour Supervisor to oversee shop-floor manpower in the production department of an automobile manufacturing environment. The role requires managing production workers, allocating manpower, and meeting daily targets while upholding safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of Labour Supervisor experience in manufacturing, with proficiency in English, Hindi and Marathi, and a willingness to work in Chakan MIDC area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as Labour Supervisor in manufacturing or automobile industry.
• Fluent in reading and writing English, Hindi, and Marathi.
• Experience handling 50+ workers is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and people-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and allocate manpower based on daily production requirements.
• Maintain daily attendance, overtime, and manpower records.
• Recruit and arrange additional manpower when required.
• Train new workers on machine operations and shop-floor processes.
• Communicate daily production targets and monitor work quality and productivity.
• Coordinate with engineers, managers and departments for smooth production flow.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and 5S/2S standards on the shop floor.
• Maintain discipline, attendance and workplace behavior among workers.
• Manage manpower shortages or excess without impacting production.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and allocate manpower based on daily production requirements.
• Maintain daily attendance, overtime, and manpower records accurately.
• Recruit and arrange additional manpower whenever required.
• Train new workers on machine operations and shop-floor processes.
• Communicate daily production targets and monitor work quality and productivity.
• Coordinate with engineers, managers, and other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
• Ensure workers follow safety guidelines and maintain 1S and 2S standards on the shop floor.
• Maintain discipline, attendance, and proper workplace behavior among workers.
• Effectively manage manpower shortages or excess manpower without impacting production.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Labour Supervisor in a manufacturing or automobile industry.
• Ability to read and write English, Hindi, and Marathi.
• Experience handling 50+ workers will be an added advantage.
• Good leadership, coordination, and people management skills.
• Candidates residing in or near Chakan MIDC will be preferred.
