THE BOMBAY ENGINEERING WORKS in Mumbai is seeking a shop floor supervisor with hands-on experience in ongoing jobs, managing workers, and meeting strict deadlines. The role requires strong supervisory skills and a hands-on approach to all shop floor operations.

Candidates should have a background in mechanical/production engineering and familiarity with lean methods such as 5S. On-site work in Mumbai is required, with candidates living near Vasai-Virar area given preference.

Qualifications

Role Description

We are looking for a candidate who has shop floor supervisor experience and experience of handing ongoing jobs , handling workers, meet deadlines etc. he should have hands on experience in all shop floor operations.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, performance monitoring, and staff coaching.
• Candidates should possess capabilities in Production Planning and scheduling to manage workflows and meet delivery timelines.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Quality Control, including inspection processes and adherence to manufacturing standards.
• Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills for coordinating across production, quality, and management teams.
• Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Manufacturing Operations, including machinery processes, safety practices, and shop floor documentation.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant experience in machinery or heavy engineering manufacturing environments is beneficial.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, or other continuous improvement methods is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Mumbai and adapt to a fast-paced industrial setting.
