Job summary

Entri Jobs is building a dedicated back-office estimating team in India to support our US operations. We seek a Construction Estimator to convert field data into detailed line-item estimates for mitigation and reconstruction projects, using Xactimate and similar software.

You will review photos, measurements, moisture readings, and sketches to create a complete scope of loss, and you will interact with US insurance carriers to move claims through approval.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in construction, estimation, quantity surveying, site engineering, or related field.
• Strong ability to read and interpret measurements, drawings and sketches.
• Detail-oriented and data-driven with accurate work approach.
• Good written and spoken English for US customers/insurance companies.
• Good data management skills and MS Excel knowledge.
• Must reside in Tamil Nadu or Puducherry.
• Exposure to US construction practices or insurance restoration work preferred.
• Experience with Xactimate, Symbility or other estimating software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mitigation and reconstruction estimates using industry software.
• Review photos, notes, moisture maps, and measurements to build scope of loss.
• Create and verify floor plan sketches and room measurements.
• Apply correct pricing, line items, and quantities per US standards.
• Communicate with insurance adjusters and customers via email/phone.
• Prepare supplements and revisions when scope changes occur.
• Maintain organized project files and trackers.
• Coordinate with US field team to gather missing information.

We are a mitigation and restoration company based in California, USA, serving residential and commercial customers. We help property owners recover from water, fire, and mold damage, and we work closely with insurance carriers throughout each claim. We are building a dedicated back-office estimating team in India to support our US operations.

As a Construction Estimator, you will prepare accurate, well-documented estimates for mitigation and reconstruction projects for our US customers. You will turn field data such as photos, measurements, moisture readings, and sketches into detailed line-item estimates using industry-standard estimating software, and you will help move claims through approval with insurance companies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mitigation (water extraction, drying, demolition) and reconstruction (drywall, flooring, painting, cabinetry, etc.) estimates using specialized software such as Xactimate
• Review site photos, field notes, moisture maps, and measurements to build a complete scope of loss
• Create and verify floor plan sketches and room measurements
• Apply correct pricing, line items, and quantities according to US industry standards and insurance guidelines
• Communicate with insurance adjusters and customers via email and phone to clarify scope, respond to questions, and submit supporting documentation
• Prepare supplements and revisions when additional damage or changes in scope are identified
• Maintain organized project files, estimate records, and status trackers
• Coordinate with the US field team to gather missing information and keep projects on schedule

Qualifications

• Strong ability to read and interpret measurements, drawings, and sketches
• Detail-oriented and data-driven, with a thorough and accurate approach to work

• Good data management skills and working knowledge of MS Excel
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable home workspace
• Must currently reside in Tamil Nadu or Puducherry
• Exposure to US construction practices or insurance restoration work (preferred)
• Experience with Xactimate, Symbility, or other estimating software (preferred)
