Job summary

Precon India Consulting Llp seeks a construction Estimator with 1–4 years of experience to support US-based projects. You will perform quantity take-offs, prepare cost estimates, and develop bid summaries with accuracy and attention to detail.

You will review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, coordinate with project teams, and use tools like Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or OST to produce reliable estimates in line with US construction practices.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in construction estimation.
• Experience with US-based construction projects is required.
• Strong knowledge of quantity take-off, cost estimation, and drawings.
• Hands-on experience with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or OST.
• Understanding of US construction practices and terminology.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.

• Perform detailed trade-wise Material for various construction activities.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and Bid documents to determine project scope.
• Prepare and maintain estimation worksheets, bid summaries, and cost breakdowns.
• Use Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff (OST) for digital take-offs and measurements.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify scope and estimation requirements.
• Compare subcontractor/vendor quotations and support the preparation of competitive bids.
• Identify scope gaps, discrepancies, and potential cost risks during the estimation process.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1-4 years of experience in construction estimation.
• Experience working on US-based construction projects is required.
• Strong knowledge of quantity take-off, cost estimation, and construction drawings.
• Hands-on experience with either Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff (OST).
• Good understanding of US construction practices, terminology, and trade-wise estimation.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Experience in working with Excel and estimation software/tools.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
