Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource.
  • Master's degree, MBA / MSW or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • 10+ years in Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Risk Management, or Governance.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and governance practices.
  • Experience in regulatory audits, investigations, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with compliance management systems and risk assessment methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the organization's compliance programs and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, legal, and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct periodic compliance reviews across business functions.
  • Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards and assess their impact on the organization.
  • Lead labour law, payroll, and statutory compliance audits.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and compliance records.
  • Draft, review, and update compliance policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
  • Ensure organizational governance practices align with regulatory expectations.
  • Support board committees and senior management with compliance-related reporting.
  • Collaborate with Legal, HR, Finance, Operations, Information Security, and Business Teams.
  • Provide compliance guidance and advisory support to business stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to senior leadership and management committees.

Education

The role is responsible for ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies while promoting a strong culture of ethics and corporate governance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in compliance management, regulatory reporting, risk assessment, policy development, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Management
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the organization's compliance programs and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, legal, and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct periodic compliance reviews and assessments across business functions.
  • Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards and assess their impact on the organization.
Labour Law & Statutory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Indian labour laws and employment regulations.
  • Oversee compliance related to:
  • Employees' Provident Fund (EPF)
  • Employees' State Insurance (ESI)
  • Payment of Bonus
  • Payment of Gratuity
  • Maternity Benefit
  • Labour Welfare Fund
  • Professional Tax
  • Contract Labour Compliance
  • Wage and Social Security regulations
  • Ensure timely filing of statutory returns, maintenance of registers, records, licenses, and certifications.
Risk Assessment & Controls:
  • Identify compliance risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls and compliance monitoring mechanisms.
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and support enterprise risk management initiatives.
  • Track and report compliance metrics, trends, and key risk indicators.
Audit & Inspection Management
  • Lead labour law, payroll, and statutory compliance audits.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
  • Manage inspections conducted by labour authorities, EPFO, ESIC, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and compliance records.
Policy & Governance
  • Draft, review, and update compliance policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
  • Ensure organizational governance practices align with regulatory expectations.
  • Support board committees and senior management with compliance-related reporting.
Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with Legal, HR, Finance, Operations, Information Security, and Business Teams.
  • Provide compliance guidance and advisory support to business stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to senior leadership and management committees.
Required Qualifications:
