We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Manager Ethics & Compliance to oversee and strengthen the organization's compliance framework. The role will be responsible for ensuring adherence to applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, managing licenses and permits, conducting compliance audits, identifying risks, and implementing effective policies and internal controls.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of statutory compliance, labour laws, regulatory requirements, audit processes, and stakeholder management.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs, policies, procedures, and internal controls across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory, legal, regulatory, and internal requirements.
- Manage the application, renewal, maintenance, and tracking of licenses, permits, and other statutory approvals.
- Maintain updated records of compliance requirements at central, state, and local authority levels.
- Conduct internal compliance audits, assessments, and inspections to identify gaps and areas of non-compliance.
- Develop corrective action plans and ensure timely closure of audit findings and compliance gaps.
- Identify potential compliance risks and recommend preventive measures to mitigate organizational risks.
- Coordinate with government authorities, regulatory bodies, external agencies, and internal stakeholders on compliance-related matters.
- Support business expansion and new initiatives by identifying and implementing applicable compliance and licensing requirements.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), compliance documentation, and reporting mechanisms.
- Conduct training and awareness programs for employees and relevant stakeholders on compliance policies and procedures.
- Prepare compliance dashboards, MIS reports, and periodic updates for senior management.
- Investigate and address incidents of non-compliance and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, Legal, Operations, Finance, and EHS, to ensure effective compliance management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline.
- Extensive experience in Ethics & Compliance, Statutory Compliance, Regulatory Compliance, or Labour Law Compliance.
- Experience in managing compliance activities across multiple locations or business units is preferred.
- Certifications in Labour Laws, Internal Auditing, ISO, EHS, or related compliance areas will be an added advantage.
