Job description

Five years ago, we started Masters’ Union; our vision: to redefine the landscape of business education. We posed a simple question: If aspiring doctors learn from seasoned physicians and budding lawyers learn from legal experts, why shouldn't future business leaders learn directly from industry experts?

After all, can a lecture on Accounting 101 truly compare to the hands-on experience of analyzing real PnL statements?

Today, Masters' Union has an unparalleled curriculum with faculty comprising Industry Leaders and practitioners unlike any other in the country. Our academic council includes CXOs, MDs, Eminent Public Leaders, and even Members of Parliament. In just four years of operations, our flagship PGP in Technology and Business Management has achieved remarkable success, surpassing the placement records of esteemed institutions like IIM Ahmedabad and ISB.

Masters’ Union is now ranked among the top 2 B-schools in the country based on placement records.

With our growing global recognition, we realized that the hands-on experience of building real businesses, which proved to be highly effective for students in India, could offer immense value to aspiring entrepreneurs worldwide.

Thus, the idea of Tetr was born.

Picture this: a business program that isn't just about textbooks and lectures—it's an adventure that spans 7 different countries, with each semester bringing a new destination and a wealth of experience. Imagine studying at iconic institutions like INSEAD, NUS, SDA Bocconi, and IIT and learning from some of the brightest minds in the business world like Dr. Edward Rogers (Former Chief Knowledge Officer, NASA), Mr. Faverie Stephane (Executive Group President, Estee Lauder) and Mr. Saud Swar (CBO, American Express, MENA). From launching eCommerce ventures in Dubai to tackling tech startups in Silicon Valley, our students traverse the globe, building businesses and making a tangible impact. At Tetr, the world is your classroom.

If this excites you, and you resonate with our vision, then we’d love for you to come and build with us.

About this role

You build communities where people actually want to show up. At TETR, we're not just running programs, we're building movements. Our students, alumni, and professionals need spaces to connect, collaborate, and grow beyond the classroom. That's where you come in. As a Community Specialist, you'll own the strategy and execution of community engagement across TETR's undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive cohorts. You'll manage the platforms they live in Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, forums, and beyond—and create the kind of belonging that keeps people coming back.

This is a high-impact role where you'll wear multiple hats: strategist, moderator, content curator, and connector. You'll measure what matters, adapt constantly, and know that the communities you build directly shape how our cohorts experience TETR.

Specifically, this role will involve
  • Developing and executing community strategies for each of our three program cohorts (undergraduate, postgraduate, executive), tailored to their unique needs and life stages
  • Owning the health metrics of each community: engagement rates, retention, sentiment, and member participation
  • Identifying gaps in our community infrastructure and propose solutions that scale
  • Working with the CRM team to align community engagement with broader communication strategies
  • Managing day-to-day operations across Discord, Slack, WhatsApp groups, forums, and any other emerging platforms our communities use
  • Setting community guidelines, moderate conversations, and maintain a tone that reflects TETR's values
  • Creating and schedule community content: announcements, discussion prompts, resources, and opportunities
  • Monitoring platform health and respond quickly to issues or concerns
  • Launching initiatives that drive meaningful participation: challenges, AMAs, peer learning groups, networking events
  • Building bridges between cohorts where it makes sense, creating cross-program collaboration opportunities
  • Identifying and nurturing community leaders and micro-influencers who can amplify our efforts
  • Partnering with the CRM, copywriting, and design teams to ensure community efforts are integrated into larger campaigns
  • Working with program leads to understand cohort needs and opportunities
  • Contributing ideas to broader engagement strategy
Ideal candidate will have
  • Proven experience building and managing online communities, or Experience in community management, community operations, or engagement roles
  • Track record of growing active, engaged communities (doesn't have to be online; could be event-based, Discord, Slack, forums, WhatsApp groups, etc.)
  • Thinking like a community builder, not a marketer. You care about creating real value for members, not just extracting engagement metrics
  • Comfortability on platforms like Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Reddit, and other digital community spaces
  • Systems thinking who can manage multiple communities simultaneously without dropping the ball
  • Adaptability and curiosity. You stay on top of what's working in community spaces and bring fresh ideas
  • Comfortability with analytics and can tell a story with data
  • Strong written communication skills and can adapt tone for different audiences
  • Proactiveness and can work independently while staying aligned with the broader team Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience managing communities across different demographic groups or life stages
  • Background in education, B2B community, or professional networks
  • Familiarity with CRM systems or marketing automation platforms
  • Experience in running events or creating offline experiences that complement online communities
  • Knowledge of emerging platforms and trends in community building
