Job summary

Buildchem Infrastructure in Mumbai is seeking a Senior Manager, Commercial Operations to lead all commercial activities at the manufacturing plant. You will drive procurement, pricing, contracts and vendor management while ensuring compliant, cost-efficient operations.

You will coordinate with accounts, production, stores, dispatch and sales, prepare MIS reports, monitor budgets, and report to the Director on performance and risks.

Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial activities of the manufacturing plant.
• Handle procurement, purchasing and raw material sourcing.
• Negotiate with vendors, suppliers and service providers.
• Manage purchase orders, quotations, contracts and agreements.
• Monitor raw material prices, product costing and manufacturing expenses.
• Handle customer pricing, commercial terms and payment conditions.
• Manage logistics, transportation, freight and loading/unloading costs.
• Monitor inventory, stock levels and material planning.
• Coordinate with accounts, production, stores, dispatch and sales departments.
• Verify purchase bills, invoices and commercial documents.
• Handle vendor development and supplier performance.
• Monitor procurement budgets, operational costs and cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage commercial documentation, agreements and contract renewals.
• Resolve vendor disputes, pricing issues and supply-related problems.
• Prepare commercial MIS reports, costing statements and management reports.
• Ensure proper commercial controls, documentation and company policy compliance.
• Oversee plant-level commercial requirements and independently manage all commercial operations.
• Report directly to the Director and provide regular updates on commercial performance.
